About Damon D. Edwards

From my early days as a young boy, my grandfather introduced me to what the outdoors should be all about- exploring nature and finding yourself. I took that to heart and found nature to be an amazing place, that it had so much to offer; so much to see and do and be a part of. Thirty plus years later, I still have that same love for all things outdoors. Over the years I have played my role outdoors as a Cub and Boy Scout; a member of the Sierra Club, where I began my passion for backpacking; The United States Marine Corps, which took my passion of the outdoors and love of country to many places around the world and to the present: an avid outdoorsman and photographer with a newfound love- The Pacific Northwest. A relative newcomer, I was sold on the area when I came to the Olympic Peninsula of Washington back in the summer of 2002. Words failed to measure the beauty I saw.
Having made a home here now with my family, I have taken my great love for the outdoors, my passion for the surrounding area and merged the two together in the greatest way of sharing all that I see with the rest of the world- by showcasing my photography here. Along with my images of The Pacific Northwest, you'll find other photographs from my travels; both home and abroad. The story of this site is that the images you see here are what got me to pull over onto the side of the road or made me run off-trail into the brush; what drove me to wake up at 4am to make it to a site long before sunrise- the images on this site have somehow moved me enough to want the memory to last infinitely. I hope that you'll find enjoyment in these photographs and take from them a little bit of what I see from my perspective.
Sincerely,
